Indianapolis Monthly magazine commissioned me to draw a 3-page comic strip called "The Method Man", which detailed the real story of how Johnny Depp researched his role as John Dillinger for the movie 'Public Enemies'. Dillinger was born and raised in Indiana, so Depp visited Indianapolis and met with Dillinger's great-nephew. This image was created to look like the cover of an old "crime comic" of the 40's and was the first page of the comic strip
